Simon Paterson is RJP’s audit and business advisory partner. He leads the accountancy and business advisory division, working closely with managing directors and business owners to identify ways to improve profitability levels and all round performance, as well as complete financial audits for compliance purposes. His guidance and mentoring, often working as a Virtual Finance Director, has been instrumental in helping many clients achieve both personal and business goals. Simon Paterson qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 and has been an audit and business partner with RJP since 2001.

Jamie founded his accountancy practice, Constable James, in 1990. He then created RJP in 1996 following the merger of Constable James and a London-based practice. A Chartered Certified Accountant with expertise in corporate finance, Jamie deals with all aspects of business growth and development, from strategic planning to turnaround finance. In addition to his work with RJP, Jamie also runs a successful Private Equity firm RCapital (www.rcapital.co.uk) which specialises in both growth and turnaround investments.

Michael heads up RJPs audit and accounting compliance department and has experience of businesses across various sectors. His role is to ensure clients compliance deadlines are completed efficiently as well as advising them on strategic and business issues. Michael is ACCA qualified, having joined in 2001.

Chris joined RJP in January 2013 and became an ACCA qualified accountant in August 2015. His role enables him to work with a diverse client base, providing a wide range of accounting services including bookkeeping, VAT compliance, management accounting, statutory accounts and audit. Chris also oversees the company secretarial function at RJP, assisting clients with their filing requirements and providing support with advisory matters.

Nick oversees the payroll function at RJP as well as running a portfolio of clients. Nick is an ACCA qualified accountant and provides a wide range of outsourced accounting services to clients in numerous business sectors. Nick also assists clients in implementing accounting software with particular strengths in Sage and Xero.

Georgina graduated with a Mathematics degree in 2019 and joined RJP in October 2021. Georgina is now studying towards her ACCA qualifications. Her role at RJP consists of accounting services, payroll and company secretarial services.

Ben oversees the outsourcing department within RJP and looks after a portfolio of clients in various sectors. Ben also acts as in a financial director capacity for clients who require financial guidance and strategic planning services. Ben has been with RJP since August 2005 and is an ACCA qualified accountant.

Jade is AAT qualified and is currently studying for ACCA examinations having joined RJP in December 2020. Her role at RJP sees her assisting the client managers in audits, outsourcing services, payroll and company secretarial services.

Matthew joined RJP in September 2023 after completing his Btec Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business Studies. He is studying towards his ACCA qualification whilst working within the accounts team carrying out various accounting and audit duties.

Lesley Stalker heads the tax team at RJP. Since founding our tax practice over 20 years ago, Lesley has played an instrumental role in developing this area of the firm’s business. Today, over half of all RJP’s clients come to the firm for tax planning advice. Lesley’s expertise includes tax planning for company directors and businesses, in particular exit strategy planning through a sale or merger. She also works with RJP’s property clients, providing advice on tax planning opportunities for property related businesses. In addition, Lesley advises high net worth individuals in the areas of property tax, inheritance tax (IHT) and capital gains tax (CGT) planning and investment related tax planning for clients interested in EIS (enterprise investment scheme) and VCTs (venture capital trusts). Lesley is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and is licensed to carry out probate.

Working in tax for over 20 years, James has a broad and extensive tax knowledge and is responsible for delivering tax compliance and planning services for individuals, businesses and trusts. When it comes round to annual self-assessment tax return time, James is a key point of contact for clients completing tax returns to ensure that our tax compliance services are as efficient and cost-effective for clients as they can be. James is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and a fellow member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

Lisa is an ACCA qualified accountant with extensive experience in a wide range of taxation and accounting services working with both personal and corporate clients. Specialising in taxation compliance, Lisa is a key point of contact for clients for completing personal tax returns and is also responsible for managing the completion of corporation tax returns and generally ensuring that tax compliance services are efficient and cost effective for our clients.

Paul recently joined RJP after 25 years in investment banking. He has a BSC Economics and is studying towards his CTA qualification. Paul is specialising in R&D claims and business tax together with personal tax compliance.

Ben joined RJP in August 2023 after recently completing his A levels. He is now studying towards his ATT qualification. His role at RJP includes personal and corporation tax compliance.
